OpenExpert
An operations dashboard with AI that runs entirely on your machine: experts with isolated data, a tool-using chat, human-approved actions and a log of every change.
The problem
AI tools for working with company data live in the cloud: you upload the documents, create accounts and trust a third party. If the information cannot leave the building, they are out.
How I built it
Everything local: one SQLite file and your own model, no accounts, no database server. Each expert sees only its domain, tools read the folders and Drive you grant, and nothing runs until you approve it; every change keeps a snapshot so it can be reverted.
What came out
Released under MIT and installable in one command: npm, Docker or a desktop app. Runs with Ollama and no keys, or Gemini, Claude and any compatible API.
